So today I’m bringing yall a quick little Q+A! I asked yall on Instagram to ask me anything, and yall asked some really fun questions! I think I’m going to start incorporating a mini Q+A in the Blonde Chat series! What do y’all think? That way any question I get either here, or on my social media I can answer and direct you to that post!

Let’s just get into the answers for yall’s questions! And, if you want to be featured in a future Q+A be sure to follow me on Instagram!

How did you come up with the name for your blog?

I knew right from the beginning that I wanted the word blonde in my blog title! After searching around most of my original ideas were sadly taken. After getting over my initial disappointment I started looking into different ideas revolving around the bright side of life or trying to see a different perspective. I finally decided on The Blonder Life because it sounded a lot like the brighter side, and it just stuck. I do get a few questions asking if my blog title was thought of after dying my hair blonde, and I always have to explain that my color is au naturale and I just liked the wording!

How long does it typically take you to write and shoot for a post?

This can totally depend on a few different factors! Sometimes I’m feeling super inspired and can crank out a blog post in an hour, or less. Other times my brain is just fried, and I cannot for the life of me write any more about the cutest pair of wedges I just bought.

Shooting depends on one of two factors. Most of my lifestyle content I shoot myself, and that takes probably 30-45 minutes max. Then editing can take another hour or so, and all of the little tweaks that go into making a photo blog worthy! For my style posts, I usually hire out a photographer and shoots last about an hour, or hour and a half! And then I get the photos back usually only a few days later!

How old were you when you started blogging?

I actually started this blog my senior year of college as a school project! So, I was 22 I think? College seems forever ago…

How far in advance do you plan the content for your blog?

This I am trying to be better about! I usually have at least 3 posts planned for the month ahead of time, and then all of the rest just come to me on a weekly basis. I really want to start filling out my content planner completely with maybe only a few openings for last minute brand collabs and inspiration!

Where do you find inspiration for your posts?

Anywhere! Pinterest, shopping, Instagram, other bloggers, the list goes on! Focusing mainly on style content my inspiration really comes from latest trends and what I think my readers will love the most!

What is your favorite thing about blogging?

Honestly, I love it all. I have made so many awesome friends through it, and it has really helped me get out of my comfort zone in so many ways. Blogging is such a fun way for me to be creative and share my life with all of yall! I am so thankful I created TBL almost a year ago!

Favorite clothing trend?

Eeek! How can I choose just one favorite trend? There are so many fun trends happening right now! I’m especially fond of the athleisure trend and definitely off the shoulder.

What are your tips for staying creative even if you feel uninspired?

I think giving yourself some time off is super important! Blogging is a lot of work, and it’s a constant need to feel on top of it all. Whether that be staying on top of trends, or knowing the best recipes, or anything else. It’s exhausting! Feeling uninspired and burned out can happen pretty frequently. What works best for me is to take breaks when I feel like I really need it, and try not to just produce crappy content because I think I need to post on a certain day or time. Give yourself some time, and the creative juice will start flowing! If taking a break isn’t possible for you I love scrolling through Pinterest at other bloggers posts and gaining inspiration there!

What does a typical day look like for you, and do you blog full time?

I do not blog full-time! That is the goal, and hopefully will be a reality in the next few years. Typically a day in my life is full of work, playing with my dog and lots of social media and blogging!

How did you learn to do cool braids?

My two older sisters have been amazing at hair ever since I can remember. My sister, Lisa did my hair for every school dance growing up and even did my hair for prom! They’re both really amazing at braids so I have really learned just from watching them through the years.

Go-to vegetarian dinner?

I make at home Chipotle bowls a bunch! I throw together rice, black beans, pico, salsa, corn and whatever else I have in the fridge that sounds good! It takes under ten minutes usually so it’s really nice to make after getting home from work!

I hope yall enjoyed this kind of post, and hopefully, you feel like you know me a little bit better!
