What To Wear To A Spring Wedding

Deciding on what to wear to a spring wedding can be a tough decision. This ruffle off the shoulder dress is perfect for any spring wedding. Under $25 + the perfect material for an outdoor wedding and so easy to dance in!

Although I am not attending any spring weddings, the second I tried on this dress my mind immediately went to wedding guest attire! Deciding on what to wear to a wedding can be somewhat of a trying process. There seem to be so many different rules when it comes to what a wedding guest should and should not wear.

Tie-Waist dress (only $22!): SheIn (c/o) wearing an XS| Beaded earrings: Baublebar | Steve Madden wedges: DSW

In addition to all the rules (ie. no white) comfort and confidence come into play. If you’re the dancing type you want to make sure you can move around in your dress, and that the fabric isn’t going to restrict your fun! Also, you want to feel great in whatever you wear since weddings are when you appear in so many photos! Usually finding a dress that combines both comfort and flattery can be tough. But, I have you covered!

Spring weddings are the time to have fun with color, and different fabrics! Fall wedding attire tends to revolve around a lot of dark tones, so spring is the time to bring color back! I think this lighter, baby blue color is perfect! It’s still a perfect spring tone, without it overwhelming the bride and making you stick out. The fabric is very light-weight too, so bonus points if you’re attending an outdoor wedding. This little tie-waist dress is extremely on trend but still completely appropriate for a spring wedding.

Also, another key point is this dress is a great length! I am around 5’3 and this dress basically hits my knee. I think the worst thing is when you’re constantly worrying about your dress length, especially during a wedding. There will be no outfit malfunctions in this dress, and you can totally dance around without any worry!

You will notice on the model the dress comes with a little tie strap for your waist, but I chose to not use that! I think the dress looks better (on me) with a more flowy waist, but you can totally decide which you like!

What about shoes?

Second, to the dress, shoes are the most important part! I think a block heel like these is always a safe bet for weddings. Or my favorite wedges (shop) look nicer than the typical cork wedges and are great for weddings as well. If you ask me a nude heel is always the best route for a spring wedding guest look. If you’re wearing a fun pattern, or bright color nude will be the perfect way to tie it all together! Plus, you’ll get so many uses out of them after the wedding is over!
