Christian Podcasts I’ve Been Loving

Perfect summer jumpsuit that you can easily transition into fall. Sharing a summer jumpsuit & 3 of my favorite christian podcasts. Podcasts I've been loving | The Blonder Life

I have been in such a podcast groove these past few months, and have been getting a ton of requests from you guys to share my favorites! First off, if you have an iPhone you already have the Podcast app – makes it so easy for you! Forever kicking myself for not getting into podcasts while in college – so many boring bus rides to and from class. Before actually searching podcasts I thought they were solely just like a talk show. Anyone else? I guess I pictured podcasts more of a radio talk show with a bunch of old guys around a table talking about how things used to be. I really have no idea why I had this picture in my head…

Once I actually got into them I realized HOW MANY podcasts there actually are, and how amazing they are! Seriously, guys, you need to check out your podcast app. Initially, I was only subscribed to two podcasts: The Influencer Podcast & She Speaks Blog. If you’re a blogger – podcasts are a really great educational and motivational resource (just an fyi) But, that is a whole different post.

When I was first writing this post I had about 10 podcasts listed out, but felt it would be more beneficial if I narrowed it down! My podcasts are kind of all over the place: blogging, religion, self-help, fitness, books, etc. I didn’t think it would be too helpful if I was just listing out a ton of podcasts and not really giving you guys all the information on them! Also, that post would have been just way too long.

Today’s post is going to be solely the Christian podcasts I’ve been listening to for awhile! If you’re interested in any other of my favorites let me know, and I can start working on that post for you guys.

Also, you will notice the podcasts are just church sermons recorded into podcast form. I like listening to these type, but am looking to find shorter episodes that maybe aren’t a church sermon. Would love to hear any of your Christian podcasts recommendations!

3 Christian Podcasts I’ve Been Listening To

1. The Austin Stone

In college, Austin Stone was one of the first church services I attended and fell in love! The sermons were always really relatable, and the worship was amazing. Download their podcast, and join them on Spotify asap if you’re into that kinda thing.

I love to listen to their podcasts on Sunday’s when I’m not heading to an IRL church service. I think Austin Stone is perfect for any millennial. The sermons are always really relatable, and the main pastor is so easy to listen to.

2. Watermark: The Porch

I introduced this podcast briefly in my latest Friday Favorites post, but wanted to summarize it just a bit more!

Recently I stumbled upon The Porch and Watermark church, and have fallen in love. It’s a super similar style to The Austin Stone, which I love. It’s really easy to follow and relate to. Typically I watch their sermons on their Youtube channel, but have been listening to their podcast in the morning when I’m checking through e-mails. It’s a great way to start out my day.

I have been loving their Bad Avice series which talks about misconceptions going on in everyday life, and how it relates to Christianity.

3. Elevation Church

The lead pastor – Steven is probably one of my favorite people to listen to. You can tell he’s 100% into all of his sermons, and he really captures your attention. His voice is constantly going up and down, and he’s super excited about the word and what he’s preaching.  The podcast is recorded live during church services, so you can actually hear how everyone is reacting to the word. There’s always a lot of laughing.

Pastor Steven brings the word back to a lot of real world examples, which I love in a sermon. You’ll notice that all 3 of these podcasts are of similar church styles. Very geared towards young people, & those who appreciate when pastors show their imperfections.

I tend to absorb more when pastors talk about their everyday life at home with kids, or what they just saw on Facebook. I know not everyone is like this, and that’s totally okay. But if you are like me you will love Elevation church!
