5 Fall Staples You Need In Your Closet

Thanks to Solid Light Co for sending me their products, and sponsoring this post. All opinions are always my own. Thanks for supporting the brands that make The Blonder Life possible.

Fall is upon us, friends! Starbucks has brought back the PSL, Target has out all their fall candles and the grocery stores are loading up on all things pumpkin! It is the best time of the year. With fall here I wanted to throw together 5 fall staples you NEED in your wardrobe.

These 5 pieces aren’t going to go in and out of style, so they are something you will want to have forever!

The 5 Fall Staples You NEED Now

  1. Slouchy sweatshirt

Messy Bun & Jesus Sweatshirt (wearing a medium)

My favorite thing about fall is the ability to feel comfortable basically always, while still looking totally cute! This sweatshirt from SolidLightCo is so cozy and isn’t it the cutest little saying? Perfect for fall.

  2. Black skirt

Black is a staple for fall. Whether it is black denim, or black booties you NEED to own black for the fall season. I have never been a skirt gal, but when I found this beauty at Target the other day it was love at first sight. And I think it could easily transition into the colder months of winter by adding tights underneath!

  3. Booties

If you don’t already own a million pair of booties then you are seriously missing out. I am not a heal’s type of girl (honestly, I just cannot walk in them) and booties are a dream come true. They so easily dress up any outfit and all the pairs I own are super comfortable. Invest in some now!

  4. Jean jacket

This thing gets layered over basically every outfit in the fall. It’s my right-hand man. The best thing about jean jackets is that you can easily throw them onto every outfit and look put together.

  5. Oversized cardigan

This staple has been around with me for years! Okay, maybe not years, but it feels like it because of how much use I get out of it. I linked a few similar styles above since this one is from last season! Tip on buying a slouchy cardigan: buy a normal cardigan in a size L or Xl for an extra comfy feel.

I totally understand! I live in Texas so fall is very short lived.

Thanks so much girl! I hardly ever wear orange, it’s a little too colorful for me.

It is so comfy, and it’s pretty thin so it’s perfect for just lounging around the house!

You look so cute in all of these! I agree with the entire list. You completely sold me on the ‘Messy Bun & Jesus kind of day’ shirt. 🙂

You should so buy it! It’s perfect. They have a bunch of other cute graphic sweatshirts too.

I’ve been debating buying a pair of booties for so long now (I’m more of a sneakers kind of gal) and reading this article is just encouraging me to go out and splurge on a pair! Do you have any recommendations?

I’m also considering swinging by target and picking up that black skirt haha. I was gonna buy something similar in either a denim or suede color , but the black looks amazing and so versatile!

Booties are a heaven sent, especially for those of us that are not a big heel type of girl.
I have three different pairs, all different price points and brands. Anne Klein make really pretty ones, and are super comfortable!

Yes you need this skirt! They have it in denim as well, and two suede as well! I love it so much, and will definitely be wearing it a lot this season!

      Thanks for reading Joanne!
