Sweater + Denim Dress

This past Sunday I met up with one of my best friends for a dinner date in Highland Village. It had been 3 months too long since we had seen each other, and it was so much fun to finally catch up.

Unfortunately, both my dress and sweater are from last year, but I linked a few similar pieces!

I love Highland Village so much, and knew I wanted to take her here! She lives in Galveston, and is not a huge fan of the city- but I think I converted her!

We spent the night shopping, and got dinner at Hopdoddy’s- the best hamburger place! If you live in Houston you have to check it out! Also, they have a bunch of locations in Austin. Their fries are way too good, like eat every single last one type of fries.

I knew I wanted to wear something cute, but comfortable since we would be walking around a bunch. And this outfit was the perfect fit! I love pairing dresses with sweaters. It’s such a unique twist and the perfect look for fall! It’s best to pair your sweater, or top with a more tight fitting dress. I have almost no bodycon style of dresses because that’s just not my thing, but I can still make it work!

This dress is more of a straight down fit, with a little ruffling at the bottom. It’s just tight enough to make the sweater over it not make me look unproportionate. Try a few baggy sweaters over your dress next time you’re getting ready! You might make a whole new favorite outfit!
