Glasses As An Accessory

I love the look of sweaters and denim shorts and these wedges are THE shoe of spring. They take a little breaking in, but after they are super comfortable! The height is perfect, and I love how long my legs look wearing them! If you're still deciding whether or not to make the plunge for these shoes I say go for it!

This weekend was crazy yall! But, a good crazy. Saturday I went shopping because I was in desperate need of new jeans. Usually, I’m an online shopper through and through! But, I haven’t bought new jeans in forever so I had no idea what size I actually was… and decided I needed to go to an actual store. Still totally love online shopping, but I did find some super cute things that if you follow me on Instagram you got a sneak peak!

Then Sunday I shot some super fun spring looks for the blog that I can’t wait to show yall! After shooting I got brunch with my best friend from college. We hadn’t hung out in forever so I always love getting to catch up! And, who doesn’t love brunch? Then after brunch, we wandered around The Galleria which made me realize how much I truly appreciate online shopping. I had planned to go to a blogger photography workshop, but ya girl was exhausted! Post college – Jamie has seriously turned into a grandma. After shooting, brunch and shopping I decided I had done enough and went home and caught up on e-mails and Netflix! Perfect Sunday night in my book.

Okay, so onto this look! This sweater was a staple in my closet all fall and winter, and I was so excited with how this look turned out for spring! Now is the time to stock up on winter sweaters because it is sale galore! All of the stores are trying to get rid of their winter inventory- which is lucky for us! So, if you’ve been eying a certain look chances are that the retailer has it on sale now!

They run pretty true to size but are a little wide on the toes just to note!

Now, onto the whole title of this post (sorry was rambling for a bit)! So, confession I don’t actually need glasses, but that doesn’t stop me from wearing them! I absolutely love clear-framed glasses, and think they’re such a fun accessory! Being the all-for-casual-style kinda gal that I am, I love that glasses can really dress down any type of look, but still leave you feeling super cute and somewhat ready to conquer the world. If that makes any sense?

Thanks for reading babes, and have a great week!

Absolutely! glasses can be worn as an accessory. Unfortunately many [people really hate someone wearing what they consider ‘fake” glasses. I’m a retired optician and I have heard this from a number of young women and it’s a shame for that to happen. So hear is what I started suggesting and the ones that tried it said it solved the problem for them. Instead of buying these non-prescription glasses and then being outed by people when you admit they aren’t prescription go on line to Zenni Optical (zenni.com) and pick out the glasses you like and then instead of getting them made as non prescription use this prescription -.50 SHP for both eyes and leave the CYL and axis b lank. This is an extremely weak prescription but just enough that if anyone were to borrow your glasses or simply try them on they would notice that they are prescription. But te prescription is so weak it won’t cause any harm to your eyes no matter how long you wear them. When asked about your glasses you can simply say that you’re slightly nearsighted and only need glasses part time. By the way your eyesight will actually be slightly better wearing the glasses then without them even with your own 20/20 perfect vision.

I TOTALLY agree that glasses serve as a fashion accessory! I don’t actually have a prescription, but I absolutely love wearing glasses… Is that embarrassing to admit? Haha, oh well! I hope you’re having a fabulous day!
