Hey babes, hope everyone had a fab Mother’s Day and are having an easy-going Monday. Yesterday my sisters came over to my parent’s house and it was so fun finally being with all my nieces and nephews! It’s so cute watching them all play together and seeing their different personalities come out. My best friend is in town for a few days so we’re catching up with some retail therapy today! It’s funny because we both are such online shoppers but somehow are getting ourselves to the mall! I’m really only in the market for one thing so let’s see if I come home with only what I need!

So now for that little life update, lets move on to the main attraction. How stinking cute is this summer dress guys?! I cannot even get over it. Between yellow, a tie front bow and how flattering it is I’M IN LOVE! I’m really thinking about scooping it up in white too, because white is my jam… and when you love a dress this much you have to get it in all the colors… right? Also, comes in navy and would make for the best memorial weekend dress, or for the Fourth!
I love how flattering this summer dress is, but also how versatile it is. I could see this as a brunch look, shopping date, getting dinner with the girls – anything! Rock it with heels, wedges or even some fun strappy sandals. It has sooo many options guys! Plus, would make the cutest beach dress if you have a vacation coming up!
Why I choose to splurge on dresses over any other clothing item is because they are so easy! Dresses you can throw on and instantly look put together. Also, they can easily be dressed up or down and I seem to get more uses out of them as opposed to a top!
Dresses like these are my fav, and it’s basically a closet staple. I promise it’s worth the splurge, and you will be reaching for it all summer long! I used to have the mantra of quantity over quality, but ever since getting more into clothes, I have quickly changed over to quality over quantity. I think having pieces that you are 100% in love with is so important. It’s worth the splurge if you know you will get 50 uses out of it plus can picture wearing it for different occasions.
I used to be that girl who would spend $75 at Forever 21 and get probably 5 items but wear them once or twice. Ask how many of those items are still in my closet…none. Spending the same amount and getting one piece you will have for years is so much more financially responsible! Spend your money on dresses, rompers, tops, jeans etc. that you know you will keep wearing throughout the years!
