If you’ve been around these Blonder parts for awhile, you would know that I am a big advocate for wearing denim jackets around your waist. In my opinion, it’s the perfect accessory.

It’s funny how much my style has changed just over the past few months. If you would have told me a year ago that I would be writing this exact post and shown me the photos I wouldn’t have believed it.
Why?
Because, I hated wearing denim jackets around the waist and would be so embarrassed for strangers when they did this. I thought it was so frumpy, and “for grandmas.”
In summary, I so did not feel the same as I do now. Now, I love love love it!
It’s such a fun way to jazz up an outfit, but also it really tones down a dress. In this case, my denim jacket is doubling as both an accessory and a way to add a bit of safety in my somewhat short dress! Want to know a secret? This sweater dress was actually a tunic, which in short-girl-terms means “I can size up and it’ll be a perfect dress!” Not even going to deny that that was my exact thought process in the dressing room.
So whether you’re looking to add a subtle way to cover up your booty, or want to dress down a dress a denim jacket is the perfect accessory!
