2021 New Year Goals

Hello 2021! Sheesh, what a year 2020 was. It definitely did NOT look like the year any of us had planned, I’m sure. But despite all the bad 2020 did bring, there was a lot of good too!

I finally let go of a damaging relationship, found my love for working out and running, began my wellness journey, grew my business and started a new one, and felt more confident and content in who I am then I have in awhile! I’m choosing to look back on 2020 as a year or growth in all aspects!

I’m never one to wish away a year, BUT I am such a new start/ goal setting junkie, so I am pumped for the start of a new year! A new time to set those goals, and plan for the future! You can check my 2020 goals post here.

I just ordered a new planner from Ivory Paper Co that I am so excited for! I typically grab a planner from Target, but I’ve yet to find a layout that I truly love. Then I saw an ad Ivory Paper Co and LOVED the weekly planner I bought. The planner I has a vertical layout, which I love plus a section for habits and gratitude. Also there’s a few different ways to customize it, which is always fun.

I love having a psychical planner to actually see everything and check off projects or tasks each day. I do also use the calendar on my iPhone and a Google calendar for business planning.

HOW I SET MY GOALS FOR THE YEAR

First, I do a big brain dump in a notebook of what I want the next year to look like and get out all my ideas, hopes, dreams, etc. I’m learning to both write down and actually say out loud what I want for myself! So when I do this brain dump I get really specific and write down all my goals like they have already happened. Basically like writing a letter to my future self of what my life will look like come 2021.

Then from there I always section off my goals into 3 categories: personal, health/fitness and business.

After I jot down goals for each category I try to narrow them down and make sure they’re specific and intentional. I like my goals to be as specific as possible, with an actual end goal. So, instead of “get healthier in 2021” try “drink 40 ounces of water daily” or “cook at home on the weekdays”.

This might seem excessive to some people, but again, this is what I live for haha!

2021 GOALS I’M WORKING ON

BUSINESS GOALS:

I now have my blog/ Instagram and my oily biz! So my goals are going to be for both businesses!

  • Hit 20K on Instagram
  • Publish 3 blog posts a month
  • Post a reel or IGTV video once a month
  • Hit Silver rank with YL

HEALTH/ FITNESS GOALS:

  • Train for a half marathon
  • Get back to working out 4-5x a week
  • Clean/plant based eating on weekdays
  • Stay consistent with my vitamins and supplements

PERSONAL GOALS

  • Finish 1 book a month
  • Make quiet time a priority each day
  • Convert to all non toxic beauty products

MY WORD FOR THE YEAR

This is something new for me! I’ve followed other bloggers who have shared picking out one word for their whole year. Kind of like a mantra to live by, and something they want to focus on. So, I’m trying it this year and had a hard time narrowing it down so I picked two!

PRIORITIZE AND BELIVE

Prioritize.
Yes, I’m very much type A so with that I’m very organized, but not all that great at prioritizing what needs to be. Basically I prioritize work, and everything else comes second. This year I want to prioritize my quiet time, prioritize my health, prioritize solid relationships, prioritize my business, prioritize my time.

Believe.
I’ve learned so much about the power of your thoughts, and truly believing something will happen. Mindset is everything! I want to focus this year on believing in myself. Believing my goals will happen. Believing I can accomplish these big dreams.
