Happy Birthday Quinn

Happy Third Birthday to Quinny! Celebrating my pup third birthday. Recipe for a dog birthday cake. The Blonder Life

Little baby Quinn turned 3 years old last week! I don’t know her exact birthday, but I always celebrate it around August 24-28 ish! I adopted Quinn when she was right at 8-weeks old so I have had her almost 3 years now! Time has definitely flown being a dog mom, and I cannot imagine my life without my sweet little pup. Honestly, I didn’t have anything planned for a blog post but I took a few cute photos so I just wanted to share them with you! Also, my blog is fun for me to use to look back on – so this post is kind of for my memories too haha!

Thursday night I made Quinn a dog approved birthday cake! It was SO easy, and Quinn really loved it! You can find the recipe HERE. For the icing, I didn’t follow the recipe exactly and just used pumpkin, cream cheese, and pink food coloring! Once I got home from work on Friday I set up a little photo area (blogger things lol) and took some cute photos with the birthday girl!

Then on Saturday we headed to our favorite dog park – Danny Jackson Dog Park. If you’re in the Houston area you need to check this dog park out! It has a small and big dog park, and the big one is huge! It has a pool, and the overall park is really long so it’s perfect for Quinn to get all her running in! My friend Laura and her new puppy Piper met us there, and we hung outĀ for a little before the dogs were tired. Then after the dog park we went to Kirby Ice House – another one of my favorite dog-friendly places in Houston. It’s an inside and outside bar that has a huge outdoor area, and is great for bringing your pup along. They have bowls, and water for the doggies and all the waitresses are super friendly to the dogs and always bringing them extra water, and ice cubes. I’m kind of picky about dog-friendly places, because most areas are so small and I always feel like I have to keep Quinn so close to me, and it isn’t really enjoyable for anyone. BUT Kirby has such a huge outdoor area that it’s perfect for dogs!

Hope you enjoyed this very random post!
