Current Workout Routine

Current Workout Routine. At home workout routine 2020. Weekly workout schedule for working out at home. The Blonder Life.Ever since quarantine hit I’ve been really getting into working out! Pre pandemic I was working out about once or twice a week. I was going to barre classes pretty frequently and would do an occasional spin class. I really enjoyed both of those (I still do – cannot wait to get back into my fav studios!) but was only doing those few classes a month! So, I wasn’t really seeing results or getting stronger. I was still eating all the same things, and not really caring too much about making changes outside the gym. Not saying this was horrible – I just have changed my mindset!

Once gyms started closing down I knew I still wanted to stick to some type of workout routine, and somehow got into a schedule of working out 5-7 times a week! I’m actually really proud of myself!

After consistently working out for a few weeks I started to realize I wanted to take fitness more seriously. I have been changing up my diet and implementing healthier habits! I have a blog post coming soon with some tips, motivation, and other things I’ve been doing to truly see results and kick it into gear!

I found a lot of YouTube channels that had great workouts, that I actually enjoyed doing! I started looking forward to my workouts after work and quickly made fitness a part of my everyday routine. I think the key to working out (especially at home) is finding something you genuinely like and aren’t absolutely dreading! It will never stick if you hate the workout the whole entire time.

Now, almost three full months later I wanted to share a little bit of my routine! I’ve been sharing almost all of my workouts on my Instagram, and have them docked under the WORKOUT highlight.

I make it a goal to workout Monday – Friday, and then go on a run sometime during the weekend! I do better scheduling out my workouts, as it’s helped me hold myself accountable! Also, I don’t have to think about anything after work and know exactly what I’m doing.

Above is a typical week of workouts for me. This is always changing, but for the most part, I structure my weeks about the same. I try to dedicate two days to full body, and then the three other days I will pick 2 out of 3; abs, booty and arms! I haven’t been dedicating a day to just legs because with running and my other workouts I don’t feel the need. That might change in the future, but right now it’s working for me! In addition to at-home workouts, I run at least 3 times a week. I almost always run on Friday and Saturday mornings so I’ll just pick another weekday!

A FEW THINGS I WANTED TO NOTE:

  • I used the Couch to 5K app (5K Runner in the app store) to get back into running. Highly recommend! It’s a guided app that slowly builds you up to running a 5K.
  • I almost always do a barre workout as my full body
  • I make every workout AT LEAST 30 minutes. Most of my favorite workout videos are only 10-15 minutes so I make sure to do multiple.

This is the schedule that has worked for me so far! Feel free to save the graphic to your phone as a starting point, or an idea of how to structure your week. I hope this helps!
