The title of this blog post might be a little confusing to some of you if you don’t follow me on Instagram! But I shared on Monday that I will be starting a new “diet” that I implement Monday thru Friday! I have to give all the credit to Lauren from Daily Dose of Charm who posted about this kind of health week last month!

Ever since I started working out I have been wanting to eat healthier here and there. I will be the first to admit that I have the worst eating habits. I have a major sweet tooth, and love soda and fast food. I really want working out to become a habit, and I figured I needed to fix my eating habits as well! I know myself and know that I can’t just all of a sudden eat super healthy every day, and honestly, that just would be miserable for me. As I said, I love sweets too much and I believe a few indulgences here and there can’t kill you!

So here are the details! I’m going to be cutting out certain things Monday thru Friday for the next month! It’s May 1 so I figured for all of May I will try this and see how it goes. Originally I was going to only do Monday - Thursday since Friday is my weekend and I usually end up grabbing a drink out with someone or get a more “cheat meal” dinner! But I’m going to attempt Monday -Friday and Friday will be more of a grace day. If a friend asks me out for a margarita I’m not going to say no, but if I’m just chilling at home I’m not going to binge on ice cream and wine. So basically Friday I will do my best to follow this challenge!

My goal is definitely for some of these habits to stick, and to have better eating habits long term!

 

MY RULES

  • no alcohol
  • no soda
  • no sweets
  • no fast food/eating out

The above rules might not be a challenge to some people, but for me it’s going to be HARD! I definitely don’t drink alcohol everyday but I do love a glass of wine here and there and I would probably be drinking one as I’m writing this blog post, haha. As far as soda and sweets this will definitely be the toughest. I drink a coke every single day, and have at least 2-3 pieces of candy every day too! So, this will 100% be a challenge for me. I’m kind of excited to see how this goes, and see how I feel. Like I said above I’m following these rules/guidelines throughout the week, and giving myself the weekend to “cheat”! BUT, that doesn’t mean every single Saturday and Sunday I will be eating and drinking my life away. I just will treat myself a little bit!

    Girl you so got this! Anytime I change my easting habits, I know the first few weeks are the hardest. After that, it’s smooth sailing! I’ve done Whole30 twice now, and I’m planning my 3rd round soon. I love how eating clean makes me feel! Can’t wait to follow along your journey!
