Early Fall Look

Early fall look with The Cheeky Lemon. Sharing what to wear for fall, or how to shop. Shopping for transitional pieces. The Blonder Life

Happy Wednesday babes! This past weekend I was in Gulf Shores, Alabama for my best friends bachelorette party, and we had a BLAST! As you can imagine this week has been a lot of catching up on both work, and just doing errands and getting adult things done.

If you know me, or have been around here awhile you know that summer is my true love. Don’t get me wrong I can get into fall style and love a good big sweater and structured hat but I will forever be a summer girl. I just thrive in the summertime: I love all the bright colors and cute rompers! Even thinking about Fall right now seems ridiculous because here in Houston it is still 90 degrees every day! August is such a weird month, like what the heck do you wear?! We’re in that weird in-between stage of summer ending, but not yet ready for fall. Also living in the south the weather keeps us from full fall mode well into the “winter” basically.

If you didn’t know I own an online boutique – The Cheeky Lemon. I have already started shopping for fall for the store, which has been kind of a struggle. Most of my customers are in Texas, or southern states so no one is really ready to dive into sweater weather, but also not a lot of people are shopping for crop tops and rompers anymore! So, I have been on the hunt for a lot of transitional pieces. This tie-upĀ button front top is perfect to bring you into fall, but looks so cute with shorts or a denim skirt! Whenever I’m shopping for transitional pieces I tend to look for fall colors over anything! I have started to shop for more olive greens, burgundy and a few more darker shades.

I still cannot get myself to purchase sweaters, or cardigans so have really been sticking to buying more transitional shoes! Even though I’m desperate for a new pair of wedges I’m not letting myself buy any more shoes that I won’t be able to wear in December. Basically, my motto while shopping has been if I can’t make it work with a cardigan, or OTK boots than don’t buy it!

This post was super short and sweet, but wanted to share this cute early fall look with all of you! Hope you have a great rest of the week!
